STEP BY STEP

1. Examine the Nails. Start by assessing the nails’ condition and shape. This evaluation helps determine the appropriate technique and choose the right products for the best results.

2. Prep the Nail. Prep the nail by pushing back the cuticles and gently buffing the nail surface with a 180-grit file. Apply Dehydrator to remove moisture and oils from the nail plate. For extra adhesion, optionally apply Bonder to the central area of the nail plate, avoiding contact with the skin.

3. Apply Rubber Base. Apply a thin, even layer of SHIELD Rubber Base to create a gripping, adhesive layer. Cure under UV/LED for 30 seconds.

4. Strengthen the Free Edge. Apply Ceramic Base from the middle of the nail toward the free edge. Use a detail brush to perfect the application and reinforce the nail tips. Cure for 60 seconds. This step prevents chipping and promotes long-lasting results.

5. Create the Apex. Ceramic Base is a hard gel polish base coat, making it ideal for creating an apex on medium-length, healthy natural nails. Apply a thin, uncured slip layer of Ceramic Base. Then, build the apex by applying a thicker bead where needed. Flip the hand upside down for a few seconds to allow the product to self-level, creating a smooth, even surface. Cure for 60 seconds.
6. Remove Sticky Layer. After curing, use a lint-free pad soaked in cleanser to remove the sticky inhibition layer.

7. Shape the Length and Sides.

Refine the nails using a 180-grit file. Shape the nails to the desired length and form, ensuring even thickness and crisp edges.

8. Apply Top Coat.
Finish by applying a thin, even layer of SHIELD Classic Top Coat. Cure for 60 seconds.
